Hook Up en PromaxBDA Latinoamérica 2010.

El pasado Martes 19 de Octubre Gonzalo Azpiri, Director y Socio Fundador de Hook Up Animation brindó una charla en el marco de la Clínica Creativa y Espectáculos de los premios PromaxBDA Latinoamérica 2010, que se realizó en el Plaza Hotel de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

El tema seleccionado fue “Consejos para producir animación” donde Gonzalo desarrolló algunos aspectos importantes a tener en cuenta al momento de producir un proyecto animado en relación al presupuesto y el tiempo disponibles, como ser:

Elegir la Técnica adecuada.

Diseñar los personajes en consecuencia.

Definir inteligentemente las locaciones.

Escribir un guión que sea viable y acorde a nuestras posibilidades.

Last Tuesday October 19th Gonzalo Azpiri, Hook Up Animation’s Director and Founding Partner, gave a lecture in the context of the Creative Clinic and Shows of the Latin-American PromaxBDA 2010 awards, that took place at the Plaza Hotel in the City of Buenos Aires.
The chosen theme was “Advices to produce animation” in which Gonzalo developed important aspects to have in mind when producing an animated project in relations to budget and available time, such as:
· Picking the proper technique.
· Designing the characters accordingly.
· Defining the locations intelligently.
· Writing a script that’s viable and appropriate to the possibilities.

Hook Up realizó la animación de la nueva Campaña de Cartoon Network - Hook Up did the animation in the new Cartoon Network Campaign.

 
Cartoon Network lanzó una campaña de imagen al aire y fuera de canal. Bajo el lema “Sólo los mejores personajes”, la campaña resalta la fuerza de los personajes del canal. Los tres nuevos avisos promocionales de televisión “Adivino”, “Molly” y “Galaxia de estrellas”, combinan tomas en vivo filmadas en San Pablo, dirigidas por Beto Salatini de Lux Filmes y animación realizada por Hook Up en Argentina. El canal también complementará los spots de televisión con una campaña en medios gráficos en los que se utilizan a personajes como Ben 10, Scooby Doo y Las Chicas Superpoderosas que se difundirá a través de vía pública, piezas en colectivos escolares y otros soportes en toda la región.

Cartoon Network launched an image campaign to the air and outside of the channel. Under the slogan “Only the best characters”, the campaign highlights the channel’s characters’ strength. The three new promotional TV spots “Fortune Teller”, “Molly” and “A Gallaxy of Stars”, combine the live takes shot in San Pablo, directed by Beto Salatini from Lux Filmes and the animation done by Hook Up in Argentina. The channel will also complement the TV spots with a graphic campaign in which characters like Ben 10, Scooby Doo and the Powerpuff Girls are used, that will be spread in the thoroughfare, pieces on school buses and other supports in the entire region.

La tarea de supervisión en el set de filmación es fundamental para una adecuada composición entre el vivo y la animación. En esta etapa se debe tomar todas las precauciones necesarias imaginando el lugar que ocuparán los personajes animados, las acciones a desarrollar y su interacción con actores y objetos en cada escena para que todo funcione de manera correcta. Vale mencionar que la animación se realiza luego y sobre la filmación del vivo.


En el siguiente video podrán apreciar paso a paso el proceso de composición de una escena para integrar el personaje animado a la filmación.

The task of supervising the filming set is fundamental for an adequate composition between the live and the animation. In this stage all the necessary precautions have to be taken, imagining the space the animated characters will occupy, the actions to develop and their interaction with the actors and objects in each scene so that everything works the right way. Of course the animation is done after and over the live footage.


In this video you’ll be able to appreciate step by step the process of composition of one scene to integrate the animated character to the shot.
